If you’ve visited our site in the past week, then you might have noticed our new website design. While our services remain the same, we want our new design to reflect how much we’ve grown in the past 3 years and better showcase how we serve our visitors.
So, to celebrate our new website design and 3rd anniversary (at the same time!) we want to do something very special for our customers.
Not only are we lowering our commission rates across the board, but we’ll be dropping our new commission rates by 25% for the month of October.
Below you’ll learn how you can take advantage of these low commission rates and what they mean for your website.
As our client base grows, we want to adapt and find new ways to serve our client base and as such we have implemented a few new features to help buyers when they are searching for a content site to purchase.
The second place you can see the income trend is on the actual listing pages.
On the old design we only had a table that broke down the different monetization methods, but on the new design we have added more features.
Not only can you view the income in table format, but you can also view the income in a trend that is broken down by monetization method. AS you can see from the image below the green line is the Amazon income trend and the brown line is the Impact income trend.
We also gave you the option just like on the sites available page, to view the total income trend. So if we are referring to the graph above, it would be the total of the Amazon and Impact earnings each month will give you the total income graph below.
How Our Original vs. New Commission Rates Compare
When you sell a website through Motion Invest, part of the sale price will have a built-in commission fee. This is similar to selling a property in the real world, where your real estate agent will get a commission when your property is sold.
Overall, our commission rates have been industry standard, albeit a bit higher depending on how much revenue your website is earning. However, our process is much more in-depth and is about as hands-off as you can expect.
We do a lot to make the website selling process as hassle-free as possible, including:
- Create all of your high-converting website listing pages
- Communicate with all of your interested buyers
- Handle all the paperwork and legal stuff
- Deal with the entire website transfer process
Now, with our new commission structure, you will be able to earn even more from the sale of your site.
Here’s a quick breakdown of our new commission rates vs our old ones:
For sites selling in the under 20k to 50k range, our rates will remain the same. However, if you’re selling a website with higher revenue, then you’ll get an 8-10% commission rate discount.
If your site isn’t quite hitting those numbers, and you still want to lock in lower rates, then keep reading about our special October promotion.
October Promo Rates (AKA Our Lowest Commission Rates Ever)
Our October promo is the only time to lock in our lowest commission rates ever. This means you have 31 days to get the most money possible from the sale of your site.
Here’s a look at how much you can save if you list your site with us this month:
As you can see, now is the time to get the lowest commissions possible on sites with less than $50K of annual revenue.
Even if you’re selling a larger site worth $1M, then you’ll be seeing an additional $37,500 in profit from the sale.
How Our Commission Rates Compare to Our Competitors
Now that you’re well-versed in how much money you’re saving by selling your site this month, or in the future, let’s take a quick look at some of our competitor’s rates.
You’ll see that some of our competitors do offer cheaper commission rates. However, most other website brokers and marketplaces don’t offer nearly the same hands-on approach.
Others don’t focus on smaller site sales in the under $100k revenue range, which is our bread and butter.
Most people who sell their sites with us prefer having a small team of experts in their corner. Instead of lengthy negotiations, lawyer fees, endless emails, and a complex website transfer process, all of this is done for you.
How Do Our Website Sellers Perform?
Still, you might be wondering a bit more about how well our website sellers perform.
Since we opened our website marketplace in 2021 it’s been our goal to provide the most seamless selling and buying experience possible.
The last thing we want is for you to wait months, wondering how buyers are responding.
Here’s what we’ve been able to achieve for our sellers:
Some of our sellers, like Jon Dykstra of Fat Stacks, were able to get an average 45x multiple for the sites he sold through our marketplace.
If you’re looking to get the best deal possible and lock in our lowest commission rates ever, then now is the time to list your site. Our new rates are here to stay but to get our low October rates, you’ll need to act fast.
