What would you do to grow this site?

I would definitely focus on the 'drills' content. I had a similar website I sold before covid and used the same strategy and saw a huge increase in both the traffic numbers and monthly revenue. I just haven't had the time to implement the strategy on this site as I would've hoped. So for example: Volleyball Spiking Drills. Use high quality drill images (a designer is best for these as custom images work really well because you can implement a Pinterest strategy). From that you can then grow an email list (download the drills) then from there create a product, upsell offers to your list and so on. Side note: you can use a volleyball drills software - as I have already done on a few posts. But a customer designer will work 100x better. Aside from that, there are also quite a few low competition keywords that can be taken advantage of. Its worth nothing, I was able to increase the revenue by 66% just by adding a few pieces of content and plugging in a new revenue stream - so with an organized content strategy taking the above notes into consideration there's a lot of room for growth.

Did you start the site from scratch or did you buy it? Is it built on an expired domain?

I bought the site from Motion Invest in 2020, I've grown it a little bit and now I'm looking to focus all my attention on my other site.

What has been your biggest struggle with this site?

It was actually finding good enough writers. Usually, this isn't a problem, but one writer decided to cut corners and I found a lot of duplicate content. So after publishing the content and finding out the content wasn't good enough. I had to go through the content all over again to make it unique enough before any penalty came from Google. All okay in the end, but a lot of wasted time. I also had an issue with Google Analytics so there's a dip in traffic when Analytics wasn't recoding any visits. Not a huge a issue, but something I think is worth mentioning.

What is included with the site? (please also confirm all social media accounts that are associated with the site and will be included in the sale)

The domain and all the content associated with the business.

How much time do you spend on the site? What tasks do you do?

I haven't done any work on the site since October 2020. I've been spending all my time on my other business.

Do you outsource the content? If yes, are you able to pass along the writer?

Yes, I outsourced about 80% of the content (then rewrote it) and wrote about 20% of the content myself. For obvious reasons I wouldn't recommend the writer

How did you build your backlinks? Were PBN's used?

No PBN's were used. 100% clean backlink profile

How many total articles are on the site?

24 published posts.

What are the expenses that are associated with the site? Specifically, what are the expenses that come from content creation, hosting, backlinks and domain registration?

For content I pay anywhere between $25-50 per piece of content. Thats where I find the most value. Monthly expenses are hosting which is on a shared hosting plan with my other businesses using WPXHosting which I think works out to about $6/month. And then the yearly domain fee which is around $15/ year.
